STREET LIGHTS

Our contractors are currently finishing off the removal and replacement of all our STC owned street lights. The concrete columns are being swapped to galvanised steel and the lights are being changed to eco friendly dimmable LED lanterns. Each new column will have a sticker attached clearly stating who to contact if/when you need to report an issue with the unit.

CCTV

The replacement of all town CCTV cameras will be starting from Monday 17th July and will take a few weeks to complete. Brand new, updated units will be installed in and around town and we will also be installing additional cameras at the play park (Cromer road) and at the Station Approach Putting Green.

BENCHES

The Phase 1 replacement program of all STC owned benches has begun…

You will start to see old dilapidated benches being removed, the grounding made good and new benches being installed during July. This wave includes the placement of a new bench dedicated to Sheringham Children’s Home on Holway Road. The new benches are made from recycled plastic including plastic bags, pots, bottles and other single use plastic which helps to support our Climate Action Plan.

 

 

 

Sheringham Town Council is undertaking some safety critical electrical maintenance works on the Town Clock building.

Until the electrical supply is switched back on, there will be no electrical power to the building and the clock is stopped.

The Town Centre CCTV remains on. The council will look to have the work completed as soon as possible.

Due to operational constraints, the Council have met today and made the decision to postpone the Sheringham Annual Parish Meeting scheduled for 14^th March to a later date, this will be announced following the next full council meeting on 21^st March.

The Council apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and hope that you will be able to join us at a later date.

 

 

 

TUESDAY MARCH 14TH 2023, 6PM, SHERINGHAM COMMUNITY CENTRE

The Annual Parish Meeting is not a Town Council Meeting, but a meeting of electors where the Chair/Mayor presides and gives a report; The Clerk and Chairs of Council Committees also provide updates on achievements and future projects.

Community groups and organisations are encouraged to attend. Parishioners can make comment on any item and raise any other queries and concerns they may have.
All residents of Sheringham are welcome to attend. Please come along and hear more about everything the Council is doing for the Community and share ideas and feedback.

Streetlighting Replacement Update

We are pleased to confirm that the replacement of Sheringham Town Council’s 131 owned streetlights is in the final phases.  Contractors over the course of the next few weeks will be finalising the connection and removal of the lampposts across Sheringham.  They will also be replacing the lanterns with low energy led models.

Once completed the Town will benefit from the savings made as there is a significant saving on energy costs, the savings made will be invested in other projects for the benefit of Sheringham and its residents.
